Mission Vision and Values

Mission

At the heart of BOURSE AFRICA’s mission lies the drive to ensure that Africa and its people can maximise benefit from the Continent’s continuing economic integration, as an emerging force in global capital and money markets, and as the pivotal supplier the raw and processed commodities on which world economic growth depends.

As a dynamic agent for beneficial change, providing the instruments and institutions that unleash the entrepreneurial energies of all stakeholders in the African financial and commodity ecosystem, including the smallest and most vulnerable among them, BOURSE AFRICA serves to facilitate advantageous engagement with globalising financial and commodity markets and remove barriers to equitable and sustainable trade wherever they exist.

Vision

BOURSE AFRICA is Africa’s continental financial derivatives and commodities exchange, clearinghouse and depository, providing an efficient, secure, transparent and trustworthy mechanism to facilitate price discovery and mutually beneficial trade, financing, risk management and investment between actors across African markets, and between African and international actors.

Tailored to the needs of Africa and Africans, and embodying the Continent’s spirit, energy, values and culture, BOURSE AFRICA works to increase the opportunity for all actors to successfully interact on a level playing-field, nurturing the Continent’s vast untapped potential by building skills and capabilities where they do not already exist, creating institutions and networks that enhance value addition and risk management, and fostering economic and social development in close collaborative partnership with governments, the private sector, civil society, and the international community.
